Returns and Shipping Policy (UK)

Binderim is a marketplace: independent sellers ship your order. When you pay by Secure Payment, your money is held safely until the order is completed. This page is a plain summary of how delivery, cancellations and returns work.

This page is a summary. The full and binding terms are in the Pre-Contract Information and Distance Sales Agreement you accept when you order, and in our Terms of Service.

This page covers orders on the UK marketplace, where prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and delivery is to UK addresses only. Buyers in Turkey buy on the Turkish marketplace, under Turkish law and the Turkish-language documents.

For orders on the Turkish marketplace, the Turkish-language policy applies: Returns and Shipping Policy (Turkish marketplace)

How the marketplace works

Items on Binderim are sold and shipped by independent sellers. Your contract of sale is directly with the seller; Binderim does not own, sell, store or ship the items. Binderim operates the marketplace and takes on the specific duties described on this page, such as producing postage labels and deciding problem reports.

Your card payment (Secure Payment) is collected by Binderim on the seller's behalf and held by Stripe, Binderim's payment services provider, until the order is completed. The seller is paid only after delivery, and never while a problem report or return request is open. If something goes wrong, Binderim makes the refund and, if the seller has already been paid, recovers the amount from the seller.

There is no bank transfer, wallet or direct-to-seller payment option on the UK marketplace. You pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Binderim charges a buyer protection fee on every marketplace order. It is shown as a separate line in your cart, and the total in your cart and order summary includes it before you pay. There is no card fee or payment surcharge on top of it.

Delivery

The seller packs your items and posts or drops off the parcel. On the UK marketplace you check out with one seller at a time.

Delivery is to addresses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and BFPO addresses are not served.

Binderim produces the postage label for every order through its shipping partners, and the seller uses that label to post or drop off the parcel. Sellers do not arrange their own carrier or their own postage. If a seller offers more than one delivery service, you choose it in your cart before you pay.

Depending on the service, the seller either prints the label or uses a QR code instead: the seller shows the QR code on their phone at a Post Office, where the label is printed and attached. Tracking information appears on your order page.

Delivery charges are set by each seller and shown per seller before you pay. There is no charge for using the website or app to order, and no other charges are added after that point.

Sellers can set their own free-delivery threshold: once the total of your items from that seller reaches it, delivery from that seller is free. Sellers without a threshold charge the delivery price shown before you pay. If a threshold applies, you can see it on the listing and in your cart.

The estimated dispatch time is within 3 business days. Unless a different time is agreed, the seller must deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after you place the order. If the seller does not, you may treat the agreement as at an end and receive a full refund, including delivery charges and the buyer protection fee.

If the seller has not dispatched any item within the number of days stated in your Distance Sales Agreement after payment, Binderim cancels the order and refunds you in full, including delivery charges and the buyer protection fee.

When you receive your order you can confirm receipt on your order page. If you do not confirm receipt, the order is automatically marked as delivered 14 days after dispatch, unless a problem report is open. If a dispatched item has not arrived after 4 days in transit, you can open a “My Parcel Has Not Arrived” report.

Cancellations and returns

Everything sold on Binderim is pre-owned (second-hand). Condition, edition, print and variant are described by the seller, so please check the description, condition and photos before you order.

Cancelling before dispatch

Before the seller dispatches, you can use “Send a cancellation request” on your order page. Once the seller approves it, the order is cancelled and Binderim refunds you in full, including delivery charges and the buyer protection fee, to your original payment method within 14 days of the cancellation.

If something is wrong: report a problem

On your order page, use “Report an issue” if the item is faulty, damaged, missing, wrong, counterfeit or not as described, or has not arrived. The report types are: My Parcel Has Not Arrived, Wrong Item, Damaged / Broken, Missing Item, Not As Described and Other.

The seller is asked to respond within 3 days, accepting (with a re-shipment, a full refund or a partial refund) or rejecting. If the seller rejects or does not respond, Binderim reviews the report and decides. While the report is open, the payment is not released to the seller.

Where a problem report or return is resolved in your favour, you receive a refund of all payments received from you for that item, including the delivery charge and the buyer protection fee.

If you ask to return a faulty, damaged, not-as-described, counterfeit or wrong item, or one with missing parts, and the seller accepts, Binderim arranges the return shipment or refunds your return postage, at no cost to you.

Changing your mind

Once you have received your order, you can ask to return an item you have changed your mind about within 14 days of delivery: use the “Changed my mind / I want to return it” option on your order page.

  1. If the seller accepts the request, send the item back as you received it, complete and undamaged, to the address the seller gives you within 5 days of the acceptance, and enter the tracking details on your order page.
  2. You pay the cost of sending the item back. If you do not send it within that time, the request closes and the order carries on as normal.
  3. The refund is made once the item reaches the seller and the seller confirms it arrived in good order. If the seller reports that it is missing, damaged or different, Binderim reviews the case and decides.
  4. You are refunded the item price only; the delivery charge and the buyer protection fee are not refunded when you change your mind.

Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights.

When and how you get your money back

Refunds go back to the same payment method you used, at no cost to you; there is no Binderim wallet on the UK marketplace. The refund is made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the return is accepted or Binderim's decision is made. If the payment has already been released to the seller, Binderim still refunds you and then recovers the amount from the seller, so you do not have to chase the seller for your money.
